Work-In-Progress: Expedition Reclamation

Seattle Documentary Association (SeaDoc) hosts Works-in-Progress screenings on zoom during COVID-19. Open to the public with a primary audience of fellow documentary filmmakers, these moderated screenings foster a space for critical feedback and constructive dialogue.

In September, SeaDoc is joining Women in Film Seattle during their Second Tuesday event for a Works-in-Progress screening featuring the short film Expedition Reclamation co-directed by Erin Joy Nash, Chelsea Murphy, and Sanjana Sekhar.

The screening will take place virtually on zoom on September 14, 2021, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

More about the Film:

Expedition Reclamation is a short documentary highlighting 12 Washington-based Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color (BIWOC) exploring their joyful, resilient, and transformative relationships to outdoor recreation. As they snowboard, swim, hike, paddle, snowshoe, and climb these women restore all BIWOC’s right to dream themselves into spaces of outdoor adventure - promoting stewardship of both nature and culture. We believe the themes of reciprocity, connection, and belonging have the power to foster collective, necessary healing for all outdoor lovers.
