How can you best strategize your festival run? Do you need a sales agent? What do they do, and how do you get one? What are buyers looking for, and how do you even get them to see your film?

SEADOC & SEATTLE COMPOSERS ALLIANCE MONTHLY MEETUP
SeaDoc is excited to co-host a Monthly Meetup on June 14 at Optimism Brewing with the Seattle Composers Alliance! Join fellow creators in film and music to make new friends and talk shop.
We connected with the Seattle Composers Alliance when two of their board members spoke at Craft & Collaboration on March 18. They are very interested in connecting with SeaDoc and others in the creative community, and we agree that building our community will serve us all.
The Alliance works to connect Seattle’s music creators to community, education, and opportunity. Founded in the early 2000s by a small group of composers and audio professionals, the Seattle Composers Alliance sought to create a non-competitive community of like-minded professionals and enthusiasts. Now they work to bridge the traditional with the new, connecting members with the techniques, tools, and resources that truly serve the music creator.
If you prefer, join the meetup online. We’re looking forward to celebrating the synergy between film and music together!

And Other Oppressive Dynamics World Premiere at Local Sightings
World Premiere at Local Sightings Film Festival!
Faced with a toxic work culture, burnout, and discrimination, Seattle-based nonprofit workers find a way to heal from the oppressive dynamics that have perpetuated the nonprofit structure for far too long.
Film director Amy Piñon left the nonprofit industry after 6 years, witnessing the abrupt firing and resignations of employees who tried to address inequities and bring about deep, meaningful change in the organization. Since then, she has seen more and more stories emerging about internal inequities faced within the nonprofit structure which, paradoxically, proclaims a commitment to fighting these inequities.
SeaDoc will moderate the Q&A right after the film.
